I first had the food catered from Manila Grille at a birthday party. We were so impressed so when we were in the area (which isn't often), we stopped by to pick up some to go.
I especially love their pinekbet which is so flavorful and the veggies aren't cooked to a mush.
Their lumpia is so good. We had the little ones at the party which has meat inside. When we were at the store, I picked up the vegetarian ones which are larger than the meat ones. I brought them home and warmed them up in the toaster oven and WOW! They were crispy and not at all greasy. The wrapper was very thin and filled with bean sprouts. I love the vinegar dipping sauce that comes with it. To be honest, I like this sauce far better than the sweet sauce that comes with the meat lumpia.
There are only a few things I like in Filipino cuisine because most of it is meat or carb heavy so I don't eat the lechon for sure. The pinakbet is so damn good, so flavorful and the veggies are so tasty. I can't wait to come back and get more, and more of the seriously good lumpia!!! Remember to warm/crisp them up in your toaster oven! -

We have tried a lot of dishes here and they were all good. It's quite far from where we are at but so worth the drive for good Filipino food.

This is your typical filipino establishment. Has majority of the popular dishes. Although nothing grilled, mainly the stew based filipino dishes. I got longanisa and menudo, as well as lumpia and mungo plates. All were very good

I don't super understand the good reviews. The food here is very mediocre. Does not curb the cravings. They have good garlic fried rice but that's about as good as it gets. The other food items seem like they have been sitting out too long and nothing tastes memorable or like lola made it. The workers are very unorganized and not very helpful. They do wear aprons and caps so that's nice. The restaurant has plenty of seating but is as expected sticky and kind of dirty. I normally love trying hole in the wall Filipino joints but this one disappointed me and my family. Will not be back.

A few years ago I was introduced to Manila Grille when a co-worker picked up a tray of Lumpia for an office pot luck. They reminded me of rolling Lumpia at my friend Emily's house with her aunties prior to family parties years ago and were the closest tasting Lumpia I've had to Emily's family recipe that I sometimes long for.
So when a friend of mine who happens to love the Phillipine's was hosting a pot luck dinner party at her house I figured they'd be a hit!
For a tray of 100 Lumpia it was under $40!!!! And everyone loved them!!!! Big hit at the party without a big hit in the wallet!
I can't wait to make this a party staple! The flavor is a perfect combination where you can even taste the hints of garlic and seasonings. They were fried crisp, yet not overly oily, stayed crispy all night long too!
